It's a three man race, Matsuyama is going to have to make some serious mistakes to lose. And that is certainly possible at Augusta.
Who’s the third, in your opinion?
I keep thinking about how he played the back yesterday and how Rose played it on Thursday. Sunday is obviously a different story, but I can’t help but wonder if there’s some magic out there somewhere. I enjoy watching them all, but I love a good shootout on Sunday afternoon. The ho-hum, several shot leads that last all day on Sunday are nowhere near as exciting.
This Zalatoris kid is fun to watch. That shot he hit into 15 yesterday was incredible.
I think Amen Corner will be telling. If Matsuyama can keep a 2, or even 3 shot lead intact through 11-12-13, I think he’s got it in the bag. He’s looking pretty dialed in right now, so I think it’s ultimately his to lose. That’s to say with half the course left, I don’t see anyone catching him, he’ll have to move in their direction for it to get exciting.
I won’t lie, though, I wouldn’t mind seeing him make a few mistakes and either Rose, Jordan, or Shauffele jump back into the mix along with him and Zalatoris.
