It’s crazy to think that at one time pipe smoking was a thing of elites and working class people. Now it seems to be a thing of hobbyists and tribal rituals.

Indeed. Once upon a time there were amazing tobacconists up and down the land. Every town would've had one. Sadly, they're virtually all gone😔

I remember an 'old school' tobacconist shop in Sheffield, all mahogany and glass display cases, shelves full of jars holding just about any variety of tobacco one could think of.

I was smoking roll ups back then and their range of rolling tobaccos was huge, many not available anywhere else that I knew of.

That was back in the early 80's....likely a betting shop or charity outlet now :rolleyes:.
