I listed this Shape 284 "The Guildhall" Rhodesian on Ebay the other night, at what I thought was a pretty high price. Seconds have been bringing in some crazy (to me) prices lately, so I rolled the dice. Within an hour, I had three offers and eventually sold it to a fellow forum member. A Comoy's 284 is very rarely offered and that shape does bring big bucks. So, this is the next best thing.
This one did have a very nice depth of finish. I've restored a number of The Guildhall pipes and this one had the best looking briar (I think someone here bought another 284 I sold a few years ago?).
Here's the pipe.
And my Comoy's 284 Tradition. This shape is slightly more slender? But the weights are the same (48 grams).
