PAD got the best of us as Cyndi really needed/wanted a new quality pipe and I celebrated with a pipe because I had just received a $4.50 raise at work.
Meet our new Butz Choquin Mirage pipes! Mine is a shape 1789 seen here:

Wow, rockin' grain on those pipes. I like the color of them too, is that a yellow stain? Or a really light brown? Either way, it brings out the grain really well. 8)

Who doesn't like a pipe bought in celebration? Next time I get paid, I am thinking of buying a churchwarden to celebrate hitting my word count for National Novel Writers Month. Great looking pipes you two!

Bob, I've smoked it twice so far and it actually smokes cooler than my Rinaldo. Maybe its one of those problems that the manufacturer fixed after complaints. At this point, I have no complaints and I'm thrilled with it! :D
Edit: both bowls were with a very moist Sutliff aro. If it can handle that, I'm sure a higher grade tobacco will be fine.

Yep, sure was! Surprised the hell outta me, too. I had been doing the work already, but I hadn't asked for a raise when I started doing the work. Figured, I'd prefer to prove myself and the $$ would follow. Seems to have paid off, lol.

At the restaurant, I am the only one of three line cooks that has been there longer than a year. We can't keep people longer than 6 months or so. I would have thought that would have been enough to deserve a raise, but sadly, not in the cards yet. 4.50 an hour is totally wicked. Congrats man!
