The Chicago Pipe Show is is just around the corner, and part of that fun is the Pipe Making Seminar. I attended the seminar 3 years ago and had lots of fun, though I managed to produce a truly horrendous pipe. I couldn't stop standing, so what started as a block the size of your fist ended up about the size of a Pecan. The walls are so thin I don't think I'll ever smoke it for fear of burn through.
But I'm signed up to do the seminar this year, so hopefully I'll learn when to stop sanding.

Well you could get yourself one of those calabash meer inserts and cannibalize it for an insert here...just putting that out there.

Hell of a looker! I really like the look of it.

Bigvan that's a nice piece, even if you have to wear oven mits to smoke it. Kudo's for the effort in trying. I haven't got the time or patience till the toddler gets into elementary school. I would buy it.

Nice job, you do HAVE to try it once to christen it. You might be pleasantly surprised.....

I like it a lot. I bet you could smoke it slowly at first and when you get some carb build-up you could smoke it normally. It would be a shame not to use it.
