FIred up this old classic just now...full bowl of Peretti Pride of Loch Lomond (my newest ‘Favorite of All Time!’). What a great pipe! And I honestly can’t recall if this is one I acquired 30 years ago, or if it is one from my father’s collection (it was with that box recently pulled out of the garage attic). Can anyone help with the vintage? Reads “The Fireside Pipe” on the left side, and “France” stamped on the underside of the stem, down by the join. No ‘C’, no Comoy mark. I think it is a Vulcanite stem by the only very light oxidization near the bit.34D6C34B-EE90-407F-B92B-450FBB765AE0.jpeg

Full hour, ash dottle. Excellent! Light nic, feel just a touch. Quite more-ish, just at the edge. Wanting to load more but..it is sufficient. I really like this tobacco! Oh, and the pipe is superb. :)

I'm game! Do not know what KBV is (*i'm such a newbie*) and not finding a "KBV" version at tobaccoreviews. Is this a current/findable blend?
Ken Byron Ventures. He makes some interesting stuff. A good portion of his blends are limited runs, but they seem to be pretty popular. I haven't had any because every time I hear about one of his blends that I might like, they're already sold out by the time I get there.

Beautiful pipe, by the way!
