This person did an excellent resto,

but it states that there ain't no teethmarks on the stem,

and it's clear that the bottom of the button has a rather substantial toothmark deformity,

It's interesting to see a before 'n after,

and such a quick turn-around,

here's the same pipe last month, and the button deformity is more evident,

He did a great job and it's an attractive pipe with a nice blast,

but the price hike is what makes me seek out grubby pipes to restore myself instead of paying a "value added tax".

That looks like some enhanced digital photography that partially hides the missing piece of the button, but certainly a good job on the restoration. Perhaps a little greedy on the price for the restoration...

"Rim & stem are free of scorching or any teethmarks" You can still see it, he did a good job with what he had to work with, but the description is just not correct. I'd rather buy and do it myself. It would be a challenge, but the button could be built up with black superglue and then sanded and filed to shape. I had to do that on a Stanwell 25 recently, it worked.

Was a good price at $90. A blatant deception is one of the things that pisses me off more than anything. Play around with the lighting and you do not see it until it gets to you.

It's the seller that needs your technique dmcmtk.
The price may or may not be high, that all depends on how much you've got and how badly you want it!
All I know is it is one beautiful pipe; I just can't get enough of that shank

The other thing I meant to say yesterday is the new software interface that Ebay is using for viewing pictures is AWFUL!!! No ability to zoom in on details, somewhat defeats the point of having pictures,IDIOTS.
