The chase for hard to finds

Obviously there are certain blends that have become hard to find. Stonehaven,Penzance and Sg Full Virgina Flake seem to be the most talked about. The larger sellers like the ones that advertise here obviously have a huge waiting list built up so the chances of getting stuff from them can be slim. What I do is go on line to the low tax tobacco states and start calling the local mom and pop stores with little to no internet presence.
Well yesterday patience and persistence paid off and I was able to score 5 pounds of SG Full Virginia Flake and 1 pound of SG St James Flake( yes I cleaned him out). You too can find your favorites with some hard work and patience, you don't have to wait around for the large sellers to get back to you. There are plenty of mom and pops who would love to sell to you. So hit google and begin the hunt. I used to do this when I was into cigars and it has always worked for me.

On the flip side, these small mom and pops that don't have the large internet presence probably jump at the chance to make big sales like that. I have always liked finding small stores and giving them my business. Nothing more rewarding than hitting a good score for you and helping them out with a good sales day.

Mike, you are right, the guy who sold it to me was psyched at such a large order. I had asked if he had any Hamborger Veermaster and he thought he had one tin left, he said if he did he would throw it in for free. Now I am on the hunt for that stuff. Luckily I have free nationwide calling on my home phone.

Dave, this guy would have sold 3 or 4 tins if that was all I wanted and was willing to pay the shipping, you certainly do not have to buy 6 pounds at a shot like I did. This can work with any quantity really.
