Hey Guys, got this from Skip at the Briary, one of the best pipe shops in the south, I went last year and met Eric Nording. They also normally have a slow smoke contest and the winner get's a pipe from the guest maker. They are also thinking of forming a club, here is his letter;
Our 2013 annual event will be February 16th. This year our guest pipe maker will be Peder Jeppesen of Neerup fame. Many of you will remember him from his prior visit. He has promised me that he will bring a large assortment of his fabulous hand made pipes. He is a great guy so make sure that you come to see him.
Are you ready for this? The O Henry of the tobacco world, Chuck Stanion, is planning to be our special guest. Chuck is the editor of Pipe and Tobacco magazine. He is a super nice guy to talk to and this will be his first ever visit to The Briary.
Are any of you local customers interested in joining a pipe club? What about if it includes beer? I was visited by Sam Downing from the new bar, World of Beer. Sam wants to drum up business by starting a pipe club. He has a heated out door area and they have over 50 beers on tap. I think it sounds like fun. What do you think?
We have some new inventory that was just added to our web site. We have 25 new Northern Briar pipes that are well worth checking out. We have some interesting new Petersons. We added a category of church wardens. Check them out at www.thebriary.com

Come see us!
Thanks for your time.

Sadly I will be hiking the AT and will miss this year, but I had a blast last year and if you guys can make the drive it is well worth the trip. Didn't want anyone to miss out, the Briary is worth a visit on any day, but the annual event is super fun.
