Please offer your thought on the best blends from Cornell & Diehl.

The only blend of theirs of which I am familiar is Star of the East, and I think it's awesome.

My smoking experience so far being in English style blends, I would like to take advantage of SmokingPipes.com's current sale on C&D bulk and explore a few and expand my experiences into other tobacco styles.

I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on the best that this producer has to offer, perhaps the best in the categories of English styles, Virginia & VaPer styles, and Burley styles.
Thanks!

Hey Kane ... lots of good stuff from C&D!

Here's a few off the top of my head:
Burley based:

Big N' Burley - (a MUST try for Burley lovers!)

Haunted Bookshop

Old Joe Krantz

Briar Fox
Latakia:

Star of the East

Pirate Kake

Billy Budd

Pegasus is good and so is the Cellar series, if you'd like to expand your perique palate.

I think C&D's non-aromatic burley blends are their very best. I also like Stratfordshire, an English.

Current staples for me are Old Joe Krantz and Billy Budd; recently Black Frigate has also been added into the rotation too.
I wouldn't really classify any of my picks as english. Billy Budd is probably the closest as it has a nice smokiness to it. Black Frigate if you like latakia(but I haven't seen in bulk).

Nightrain if you want a high octane nicotine blend

Habana daydream is a pretty strong cigar blend, if you mix it 50/50 roughly with star of the east it makes a really great cigar blend that tames it plus adds a lot of depth.
Halav U'Dvash - Milk & Honey (Hebraica Series) for a really good aromatic that really isn't like a typical aro. Nice honey flavor but mostly tobacco flavor. Very unique.
3 friars for a vaper as well as bayou morning.
Calling Captain Bob to plug his Captain Bob's blend!! (Captain Bob is a member here who created a C&D blend)

Folks. The OP is axing about bulk blends, which are currently on sale at SPC. Lots of these recs are only available in tins.

Not bulk and 35% perique. Don't participate in this buy unless you love perique and nicotine. But if this is a go so far, check out the "Bulk Chenet's Cake Group Buy" thread. Closes on midnight 5/9.
Bayou Morning has a more normal ration of perique and is potent, but probably 5 or 10 points below Chenet's Cake. BM nicotine robust, CC quite strong.
Good luck, Mike

I'm a huge fan of C&D. While there are many blends I enjoy that are only available in tins, I know the OP is looking at the bulk stuff. For that I'd recommend the following.
Morley's Best

Epiphany

Billy Budd

Mountain Camp

Byzantium

If he's looking at getting bulk for SPC sale, don't forget the blending Perique and Latakia.
I also grabbed up 2 lb of Izmir. Rothnh got me started on that stuff.
