I bought this straight grain, hand made briar pipe on eBay for $25 delivered. It was listed as Hand B Made, but I think the B inside a Diamond and the Diamond logo on the stem identify it as a Briarcraft.
That’s a pretty little hand made, straight grain, likely Algerian briar pipe for twenty five bucks, whoever made it, if you ask me.
If that exact same pipe was hand made in a London shop with a British logo it would be worth at least ten times more.
And when I wake up to sleep no more, maybe my kids will correctly list it as a Briarcraft. That ought to jump the resale value to thirty bucks.
It pays to check Pipedia, you know?
