You might be going through latakia blindness. Some recover, some don't. My version is the one where all lat blends now taste exactly the same unless the latakia is only in condiment proportions.
Maybe you’ve ghosted your mouth? Ha ha. And, yes, I’ve had this happen, for reasons the Captain mentioned above. I smoke from light in flavor to the strongest in flavor throughout the day to keep this from happening.

Sadly, this is where I am. I used to love Quiet Nights. Rich, complex, mysterious incense like qualities. Now everything tastes like Pirate Kake. ?
Mine didn't come from over indulgence though. It came from smoking nothing but VA's for about a year.
Now try Virginias, Orientals, and even aromatics. They'll likely blow your mind.?
The sense of taste is a complex thing and at a certain point your brain doesn't want to spend the energy noticing the little details it's already spotted. It's basically a survival thing. Oh new thing to eat better pick up on everything to make sure it's not poison or spoiled.... Tried it a few times, well your brain knows it probably won't kill you so why waste the processing power.
