The 2024 United Pipe Clubs of America National Slow Smoke Contest is coming soon in Chicago!
Yes, fellow pipe smokers, the 2024 United Pipe Clubs of America National Slow Smoke Contest is happening once again! With the Chicago Pipe Show moving to it’s new home, the United Pipe Clubs of America National Slow Smoke is joining them. As you may know, the United Pipe Clubs of America National Slow Smoke is an annual contest of pipe smoking skills where we ask the question... Who can keep their pipe lit the longest?!?!? This year's pipe is a new grade of Chris Morgan Pipes. From Chris Morgan himself “We decided to try out my new Bones Specimen finish. The added finish and upgraded internals increases the value of the product above the standard Bones line. This special color scheme and antique finish is exclusive for the Chicago show pipe. I don’t offer this finish currently in house. Airways have been reamed to “artisan” standards. 11/64” in the wood and 9/64” taper in the stems. The stems are acrylic with delrin for durability.``
Dimensions:
6” long
1.9” tall
1.5” wide at the rim
Chamber: 3/4” x 1.6” deep
Weight : 1.5oz
We are happy to announce that the tobacco is a custom blend made by LJ Peretti.
UPCA Contest Blend 2024
A subtly sweet blend of three Virginias balanced by nutty notes of Burley, this is a mellow blend with understated, scintillating flavors of hay, cinnamon, and spice that are best revealed when smoked slowly – which is precisely the point, as it was developed for the United Pipe Clubs of America’s National Slow Smoking Championship.
Available for special order at LJ Peretti Co., Boston,
(617) 482-0218
Pre-registration starting on Saturday February 24, 2024 at 3pm Eastern Time.
