So, here’s the needs to know for the restoration contest.
*This is for anyone and everyone. If you’ve never restored a pipe, or are a pro.
*The pipe you enter must be a “dry system pipe”. That’s any pipe which is design with a chamber to keep dottle and moisture out of the airway. Examples of these are Peterson systems, Savinelli Dry System, Oom Pauls, well pipe, cavaliers, if anyone cares to add other pipes feel free. There is a wide range of dry systems out there that should give people plenty of options.
*If you already have a dry system pipe to restore, that’s fine. However you can only enter a pipe that will be worked on during the allotted contest time frame.
*Only one pipe entry per person
*you can display the pipe your going to use on this thread, there will be a separate thread to post your before and after pics.
*Voting for best pipe will be open to all forum members, please do not vote until after the end of the time frame and all entries are posted.
*Pipes will be judged on quality of work and difficulty of the restoration. While this is not a photo contest, pics always make a big difference so make them good.
*All before and after pics must be posted by June 2, 12:00pm.
I look forward to seeing some pipes come back to life. Feel free to ask any questions. Hope to see some people give it a go for the first time. GOOD LUCK
