I thought you got married to an old GF who was visiting Tampa!
Made the journey back to Tampa today, since after felling a rotten tree on the property this morning i had the rest of the day off. Decided to make the run on a weekday because the last trip was Saturday and the Fuente shop was closed. Lesson learned! So i smoked through most of the cigars i bought the first round, noting the best of the brands and swung through all those shops as well, grabbing all my favorites from round one.
And now, onto the porn!
THE SHOP:
ARTURO FUENTE, JR, THE PERFECT GENTLEMAN.
Got the chance to hang out with him 1 on 1 for a good while and chat it up. He looked me up on the system and saw that i had been ordering from them online for nearly 2 decades. So he gave me some history on the shop, we talked cigars, blends, wrappers, vitolas, etc etc ad nauseum.
INSIDE THE SHOP:
AND MY LITTLE GRAB BAG O SWAG (i have 8-5-8 maddies, but needed some rosados!):
AND ON TO SOME GOODIES FROM OTHER LOCAL BOTIQUE SHOPS:
ALSO, ON A SIDE NOTE, i was at a local restaurant having breakfast one day when i found a local artists' material on display for what i considered grossly undervalued and bought a couple on the spot. Will go back tomorrow morning to grab another! Here are the two i got a couple days ago:
Good times, great memories and i'll be back in a month or two to put in septic and well. If i have the time, i'm certainly not going to skip out on the 2 or so hour south to do this again. The lounges are great, the staff (especially at Tampa Sweethearts and Tabanero) are excellent hosts and the atmosphere is a cigar lovers dream.
