I made a purchase recently from a fellow smoker. In that bunch I got 8oz of Brown Irish rope and 6oz of Black Irish rope.
I'm smoking a bowl of straight Brown and wow. Now I know why most mix it with other blends. The Nic hit is great, almost overwelming. At least this first bowl is. I'm loving it as I have always loved strong blends. It will take some getting used too and not recommended on an empty stomach. It's 4am and getting up thought I'd give it a try and as said, I love the stuff, at least so far, being only half way thru the first bowl.

I am saving up my pennies to get me some of that rope.. I've heard and read the brown is more robust than the black. I am planning on getting a couple of oz of each and seeing which i like best.

Only tried 2 ropes so far.

G&H Brown Bogie, almost cigar like, and SG Brown #4.

Hell yes on the nic hit. Love the Bogie mixed with any straight Va. The SG Brown... not so much.

I will be trying more rope in the future.
