No reference in Pipedia.org. Sounds like a catchy contraction of Svenborg and Larsen, as might be done for a second. The state of purchase and the date do not help much as many pipe shops (which were more plentiful back then) had basket pipes with such names. A set of photos would help enormously.
Svenlars were made by Michael Kabik. The value can vary depending on the shape, grain, and condition. He made some that had unbelievable grain, and also some that were just ok.
