I have a tin thats unopened that ive had for over two years, anybody know anything about it, or can equate it to anything?
Ive smoke OGS, MCB club blend, peterson university flake, peterson sherlock holmes, PA, 3 noggins by rattray, solani va flake, and mississippi river
Is it anything like any of those?

I recently tried a new tin. Seemed a bit plain to me after the initial light. It seems to be a light non aromatic Mostly Virginia blend tobacco, with a heck of a nicotine hit. I haven't smoked any of the blends you mentioned, but I hope this helps a little.

BRG was originally pouched but now comes in one of those cardboard 'tins'. It is not goopy and is modeled after the old codger blend Briggs. To me, it is a middle-of-the-road VA and burley, in a way like Half and Half, and not particularly aromatic. Of the ones you mentioned, it is somewhat like a coarse cut Club Blend, with more of a burley character. It may do better in a cob, which I haven't tried yet.

I've got a tin of this unopened around here somewhere. If it's like the other codger burley match blends that SPS has done, it should be ok. If you like codger burleys of course.

Many old timers used Briggs as a blending condiment. They'd mix it with other tobaccos to create their own blends. By itself it is not anything special. I never mixed it with anything and I have not smoked Briggs in many years. Its a burley/Va blend so mix it up and see what you get.
