It's ok George...we know you were just watching for the halftime show anyway.

I'd rather get a root canal.

Fact is I've never been interested in any team sport. Especially the ones that use balls. Grade-school playground games writ large is all I see.

I used to watch the Olympics for gymnastics, weightlifting, boxing, and some track and field events to see what individual human limits were, but not even that, anymore.

I found a fool proof way to predict the outcome of Superbowls.
I base it on which coffee mug I blindly reach into the cupboard the day of the game.
This morning I pulled out a green coffee mug (my Pete Geek one) so with 100% certainty, I predict.....

The Philadelphia Eagles will win.
Or else they will lose.
if you're right then we're start asking you what cup you picked out of the cupboard for other issues. And then sue you when we hire the wrong lawyer. (so you'll be fine either way).

I can't help but feel like watching a sport like that, that all I am really watching is a huge corporation and it's products. The behind the scenes stuff is so thick that while each player is legit impressive (don't want to take that away from them, not that I could), the over all effect is such a group effort that it's really more like watching the stock market for entertainment to me.

Yeah same here...I quit following and watching almost all sports decades ago. I happen to be watching this game due to circumstances...and of course it's a terrible game...Chiefs are getting their assess handed to them.

The only thing worse than the game was the Rap halftime show.

Unlike you snooty anti-sports snobs, I have been a sports fan since I played basketball and football in high school. Do I watch every game or sport? No. The only time I watch baseball or basketball is when its the college playoffs.
I will turn on a golf tournament on Sundays when I decide to take a nap - it will put me to sleep fast. (Bass fishing tournaments hold my interest more but only because I was the editor of a hunting and fishing magazine.)

Don't watch tennis. I will watch some of the Olympic sports depending on what's on. In the winter I like watching the sports like bobsledding and luge. Some of the skiing is entertaining because of the crashes. I will admit to watching some of the figure skating but only because I dated a figure skater back in the 70s. In the summer there are a select few events I will watch. "Women's Beach Volleyball< anyone?"

And the Chiefs getting manhandled like that is what made the game entertaining.
The game was not as close as the score. I told my son after halftime that the Eagles Defense was going to start relaxing and making mistakes because the game was pretty much over.

Hillbilly dairy farmers don’t play ball.

There’s two reasons for that.

First is, he has to milk the cows twice a day.

The better reason is if he didn’t milk the cows, if his mother didn’t kill him first his wife would not be home, after the game.:)
