Summer blends

What's your favorite smoke for the summer and why? I'm looking for a good sit and smoke outside tobacco for the evenings.

Mac Baren Virginia Flake and Orlik Golden Sliced.
I'm smoking Mac Baren Virginia Flake right now and it is quite tasty. It's 84 degrees and sunny here.

To be honest... my smoking really is not influenced by the seasons.... seem to smoke the same tobaccos... winter,spring,summer,and fall........

I guess it's more of the accompanying things. I'm looking for a lighter more mellow smoke.

I have been gravitating towards blends like Haddo's Delight, and PS Luxury Bulls Eye Flake.

Picked up some McClelland Best of Show today to try....and left it in my desk at work

Right now I'm utterly obsessed with Peterson's Connoisseur's Choice. I'm more than halfway through a tin of it after about two weeks. I don't really have a "summer favorite", like others I smoke whatever whenever, but I am dying to try Peterson's Summertime blend and when the season comes, their Holiday Blend.

I'm looking at getting Sutliffs " A taste of summer" for the next time I place an order. It got a decent review and I like peaches so I figure I might as well give it a try.

Chicago has four distinct seasons, although their length and reliability may vary.

From March to September Virginia flakes and VaPers predominate,

with the more Perique-forward blends getting the call as Summer wears on.

October to February finds me hunkered down with the likes of Haunted Bookshop

(Burley, Va, Perique) and straight ahead codger Burleys. Around Christmas, anything with deertongue.

I picked up a tin of Peterson Summer Time 2010 this weekend. I have only smoked one bowl of it and it was pretty good. I only smoke on the lanai, but the wife really like the aroma of it.
