During one of the many recent P+C sales, I picked up a gigantic tub of Sugar Cask for under $20. I never tried Sugar Barrel, but it sounded like something I might like. (I completely judged a book by its cover).
The thing is that this Sugar Cask is very close to something I'd love. It is so close to something I'd want to smoke all day.
Rich burley and a tad of something indiscernibly sweet.
Before I get to mid-bowl, it tends to get too hot in my pipe and all of the flavor is gone. It's like a piece of Wrigley's gum. Before mid-bowl, I cannot even taste the tobacco.
Slowing down my puffing doesn't really help much.
So, my question is: is there anything else like this that hits just a little harder and performs a little better?

Sweet Cask is very close to Sugar Barrel, similar blends I would recommend would be Angler's Dream, Lane Ready Rubbed, and Sutliff's Ready Rubbed Match.

'tango, if you haven't already, you might try it in a broader bowl; sometimes that will even out the burn and keep the flavor coming through the bowl. If you've done that already, well, it's a suggestion.
