Stuck filter adapter in a Savinelli

Hi all, first time long time. I'm a long time occasional cigar smoker that recently decided to dip my toes into the pipe smoking ring. I have a small issue I was hoping someone might have a trick to solving. I have a Savinelli Roma Lucite 626 that I've been using with the balsa filters up until recently. I decided to give it a try with the filter adapter to see if there was much difference in how it smoked. I went to clean it out after my last bowl the other night and the adapter is completely stuck in the stem. I didn't really notice much of a difference without the filter, so I don't have a problem if I can't get it out and leaving this as a filterless pipe. I do have another Savinelli (a Venere Rusticated 207) that I could leave as a filtered pipe if I choose to. Anyone else run into this issue with stuck adapters?

needle nose pliers and a gentile wiggle one plier on the inside one on the outside and pinch , dont break it

I might try putting it in the freezer for a short while. That sometimes helps removing stuck stems from a warm pipe.
Just thinking out loud here.

When you get it out, try reinserting the other end, some of them have a slight taper.

I was thinking of trying pliers, but I was worried that it might mark it up a bit. Maybe I'll try the freezer trick first. Thanks for the suggestions.

Freezer. If that does not work, warm the outside with a hairdryer while the adaptor stays frozen.

The freezer trick sounds likely. FYI, I have found that most pipes that take a filter work with or without an adaptor. Some might prefer an adaptor to restrict the air flow a bit, but mostly I have found either way smokes well.

Cold works with separate materials but their adapters and filter tenons tend to be the same plastic and will shrink at the same rate.

Just be gentle when you do it. Some advice I give all new pipe smokers is don't over pack your pipe and smoke slowly.

In the future for 6mm pipes, you don't need an adapter to smoke without a filter.
