Let me start by saying that indoor smoking bans here in Carolina are controled by the state.Those who run the town that I live in now don't seem to care if I smoke on the streets or in parks though.Our mayor is retiring.Today a man who is running for his job came to my house and we talked for half an hour about issues that I have concerns about.He told me that he would like for the city to tear down some old buildings on one end of town and build a park.I asked him his position on my pipe smoking on the street in town and in this new park..His answer suprised me.He said that the city streets and this new park belong to the taxpayers,and I would be free to come pipe in hand and enjoy the park.I can only hope that he is a man of his word.
