folks, i've made it back to China and brought some tobacco with me (1-Q and Boswell blends), safely making it through customs. i'm wondering what the best way is to keep my tobacco. if i put it in glass jars, do i need the humidifier button in there or is it ok to just keep in a jar? i live where the humidity is rather low, fyi. i searched the threads and didn't find an answer. i'm keeping a cellar, since i don't have that much. maybe one day :)

I keep mine in mason jars and recommend you use a size that leaves as little free space as possible in the jar. That will help it maintain the right humidity.

You would use them if you ever needed to rehydrate the tobacco. Or to keep the tobacco at a certain humidity when you don't have an airtight container such as your everyday tin you carry around; tobacco in those tend to dry out easily.
