I opened up some of my jarred tobacco today and it is definitely on the "dryer" side (slightly crumbly) do I have to throw it out or is there somthing I can do?

You can rehydrate it by place a damp paper towel over the tobacco while it's in a bowl.
How much air was in the jar? I usually leave around an inch or so. I wonder if you had a bad seal.

I find taping some paper towel or something to the top of the lid and moistening it is my preferred method of re hydration.
