Hi all. Not sure if this is the place to ask but here goes. I purchased a Stanwell estate but cannot seem to find info on it anywhere. Closest I can find is that it looks like a late 1950's number 35. It's got "Stanwell de Luxe 85 4" printed on it. The 4 is in a different type. Not sure if anyone can help with some info on it.

Hi Jacques;
Is the S on the stem only an S or is there a crown over the S? Does it have the Reg No 969 - 48 stamp?
Regards

Michael J. Glukler

Is it 54 on the 1970 catalogue on pipedia? I seem to recall reading tha the first number relates to range and that the last two are the shape.

Mr Glukler its good to see you back I very much enjoyed your posts when you were here before.

Thanks for the replies. There is a crown on the "S" Michael.
Thank you Owen. I didn't see it before as I was told it's from 1950s. But it could well be that one even though it doesn't look sandblasted on the catalogue.

Oh and Michael it doesn't have reg number but the stamp looks authentic.
I also saw this 85 when I was searching for info and because the shape was different and didn't look like mine is the reason I started searching for more info.

Which year is that one from?
I have no idea; you would probably have to go through all the catalogs at pipedia to find an exact match. Also a good site, with a lot of pictures by shape number,
