A utensil, and not a very well conceived one. Idea is very bright. In hand, not very adept. If this word has more than one meaning, it hasn't reached my usage in pandemic isolation. If I had to guess, I'd say a rock band based in Minnesota.

The only spork I'm aware of is an eating utensil. It being multi-purpose is subject to debate though. Having used one it did neither the job of a fork or a spoon very well.

The fork part of spork doesn't have the length nor configuration to fork anything, and the spoon has slots in half of it and doesn't spoon very well. I'd like to think that if these were made of metal and well crafted they would work better, but I don't really think so. With some practice, one can become pretty good with chop sticks, but not with a spork.
