I have discovered that i am quite enjoying the Penzance, but not as a stand alone. I put a pinch of, lets say for example, Burley in my pipe, then a pinch of Penzance, and so on untill full. Not always Burley, could be Drum or Larry's Blend or 7 Seas etc. The change or blend of flavours during the bowl is simple outstanding.

Yes indeed. Glad to hear it. I find myself, of late, mixing and intergrading my bowls of tobacco on a regular basis now. It makes a more, shall we dare say, enjoyable and adventursome experience

Yeah that's what I like because you get the primary flavor of the top layer and a hint of what's underneath of it, and as you get further down the flavor profiles really seem to combine, but, if this makes any sense, remain separate.
Darn, you sure are smart. I'm just gettin dumber than a sled load of sh!t in my old age. Good explanation, Paul. :worship:

I completely agree Paul. The reason for this tread was to see if others also combined. I think it's almost akin to a swirly icecream. I kind of enjoy the one flavor on top of another. I tried mixing them together and loading the bowl that way, but it's not the same as layering.

I do this on occasion to add body to an aromatic or something. I have never combined an aromatic with Penzance, but I have combined a wide variety of Virginias with Penzance. I regularly combine Virginias and aromatics.

I've parfaited strong stuff (being a nic wimp) with my usual fare in order to ease into the likes of the ropes
Indeed! I have some 1792 on it's way to me via snail mail. After reading so much about the "nic hit", I do believe I shall intergrade it with some other blend on my first go-round. Although, being an X cig. junkie for 30+ years, perhaps its will be fine just as it is. I seriously anticipate liking it very much.
