I had some of this blend sent over to me by a friend, man is this

stuff Goooooooood.....there goes another one to add to my TAD list...by the pound ;-)
From the tin:

Mississippi River is a smooth, medium blend of pressed red and stoved Virginia tobaccos with a unique balance of Louisiana Perique and Cyprian Latakia which makes this krumble kake tobacco a complex and rich smoke with a lovely sweet finish that lingers nicely on the palate. This Seattle Pipe Club Blend was created by our master blending guru, Joe Lankford, and is now being blended and offered for sale by our friends at pipesandcigars.com. A major hit with members who like Virginias and/or English blends - very gentle on the tongue for an all day smoke.

If you like latakia, you can't go wrong with any of the SPC blends. They are all good.
I hate latakia, and I love this blend, I have been wanting to buy a a pound for a while, at this point.

I find that it is a blend that I would categorize along with Frog Morton original. Very delicious and approachable for someone wanting to try some Latakia.

How strong is the nic hit?
Not bad at all, very smokeable. Granted the only nic hits that bug me are the really strong ones, like 1792, and thats only if im inside and I have an empty stomach.
This doesnt even come close to that, I wouldnt hesitate to give it a try

I didn't find anything "special" about this blend. It's good though, don't get me wrong.
But it's about as good as meat and potatoes. Nothing bad about it, just nothing great. A definate must-try though.
