I've tried Mississippi River, not the Special Reserve...still deciding whether or not to go for it.

MR SR is good. Like MR but with more flavour, I only tried one tin but I did finish it in short order and was waiting for a sale before trying again. It is best smoked bone dry.

I agree the MR SR is like an amped up MR. I really enjoyed both blends and cellared some of the MR SR when it was on sale a while back.

Sucks. I paid full price for 4 tins only a week ago... Trying to deepen my long term cellar and I’m always afraid these “special” tobaccos will go away for good. Really need to work on my patience.

I was finally able to resist a sale! Only because there is no room in my cabinet once I loaded the 10 8oz cans of Potlatch from the last SPC sale.
