So I wanted something close to a traditional clay look, but

without worry of breaking a 14-16" stem ;-)
I snagged this one from SP.com, glad I did, great lil smoker,

nice and cool/dry smoke as expected from a CW....

Also had a TAD/C&D fix that needed to be dealt with as well;

Picked up some BLB, Briar Fox, First Responders, Star of the East

flake and one outside of C&D blends, a 2oz of English Chocolate (since I know

Jason is always saying good things about it, I wanted to try it)

Nice looking pipe. I have been thinking about graving one of those. Let us know how it smokes!

That's a great looking Churchwarden.. I am curious to get your reaction to First responders and Briar Fox. I recently bought two tins of each. I haven't tried the Briar fox yet, but I did crack a tin of FR. Truth be told, I wasn't blown away by it. I have smoked a few bowls of it, and find it just ok. Maybe I'm missing something given all the praise people have lavished on this blend.

Happy to report Sav CW smoking like it should, cool & dry, and thanks

to all for the kind wishes on latest edition to the rotation...I really

got this one for the MC V-blends, like Blackwoods, St. James, Tudor

Castle because something about the combination of these blends

and a CW just hit the spot
I haven't tried the Briar Fox yet, but have had a few tins of FRs,

I found that I had to work the correct moisture out for it, IMHO more

on the dryer side of things and also smoked in a pot-shaped bowl

with a 7/8" diameter chamber and about 1-1.3" chamber depth...

I found it also caught up with me on Vita-N, keep in mind that I

have blends like 1792, Peterson IF, etc in my normal rotation
