Seems like some pipes are already spoken for when the update comes out. Am I missing something, or how is this possible?

That’s what I think. The updates happen before the email goes out.

Yes, often the featured pipes are long gone when we receive the emails.

If there is a very specific pipe you are looking for, you can contact them and tell them you are looking for such and such. They will give you first chance to purchase it. But I don't think they list those unless you don't buy the pipe. Other than that, some people are just faster.

People waiting for the update on the site on Mondays and Thursdays when the update drops at 3:30 EST.

In years past didn't they send out an early preview of the update to folks who asked to get on the list? I wasn't sure if they were still doing this.
