Looking for something a bit heavy on sour. I used to enjoy Presbyterian, but feel it doesn't have enough body. I do think it's got a sour quality though. Also Fillmore is a favorite which I feel also has a sour quality. I'm not sure what makes sour. I thought it was Orientals, but Fillmore has none. What would would be especially sour?

I feel like it has more to do with how the blend is prepped before being packaged. Though sour is an acid taste and Va tend to be more acidic so...

Try C&D burley flake. I like them all (except no 2). Tangy, fermented kind of sour taste.

@dcicero most of the recommendations offered so far aren't sour at all or sour enough. I too am on the same quest, looking for that sour flavor profile.

So far only two blends have really satisfied this craving for me, one is LJ Peretti Tashkent the other is Sunday Picnic from C&D. The current production of Balkan Sobranie also gives me that sourness but that stuff is very difficult to get so hard to recommend.

I'll have to give Fillmore a whirl and see how that stacks up. I'm still on the hunt as well so if I come across more sour blends I'll update here.

You guys must have got a different batch then me because i get no sourness at all from Pegasus. Wasn't even a thought to mention it here and surprised to see it twice now.
It definitely mellowed after a couple months in the jar but I bought 2 oz. in bulk to try and was put off by the initial first smoke , different palates I guess and it’s all about where your at in your rotation comparing this to something straight like my daily 5 bros burley the sour might jump out more than if I was smoking something with orientals like it doesn’t seem as sour if I’ve been smoking Englishes.

Bulk Stokkebye Luxury bullseye flake has a good amount of vinegar used to keep it from getting moldy. Thats the only sour I've experienced from a tobacco.
