For those who are interested, the first three films were produced by British Pathe News. They specialised in making short films which would usually be shown at cinemas between the first and second features (in the days when people got two movies for their ticket). Originally Pathe's role was to show news footage because most people did not have a TV at home in those days. As TV ownership grew they started to produce more human interest films like the ones here.
