As you can tell, I really went apeshit over the Stanwell 63M shape, I just diggit, the shape seems to fit me perfectly & performs very well. Before I knew it, my PAD was out of control as I was obsessed with this shape, I had to calm down and gather myself, try to be rational --- but it didn't work, I'm still looking for certain differing variants! It blows my mind how quickly the pipes started piling up after just one year.

That is a nice collection. I have wanted to add a Stanwell 63 m to my collection as well.

Got yourself a two week rotation of 63Ms going there, very nice! I was never a fan of that shape until I picked up a Boswell version late last year. It's so very comfortable in the hand, and the slightly conical chamber makes this one of my driest and best smokers. I can certainly understand your obsession. I wish you many years of smoking pleasure from that collection, which I think still has some growing to do!

Got to agree with Foggy-that top image is really beautiful. Must have taken some time to organize the pipes that carefully. Did you use a jar or ashtray to get the perfect circle?
I am beginning to believe that this forum contains many obsessive people like myself.

I've assembled my collection over the last year and 3 months, I have about 15 more in addition to these, little did I know what I was getting into when i started up with pipe-smoking, it's amazingly fun!

Very nice collection... Yep doesn't take long once you find that favorite shape to go overboard and expand your collection.. I have a thing for Danish or Danish style freehands. I'd say about 90% of my collection are estate freehands, with several from the 70's/80's.. But I finally decided it was time to start looking at other shapes, and am working my way through the shapes list. (Much to wifey's dismay.. She saw my 25+ lb tobacco cellar yesterday, and let's just say she ain't happy..)

Magnificent obsession, misterlowercase! Thanks so much for putting this photo group together and posting it for us.

I love those pipes, and that Royal Danish 63M with the gnarly plateau is terrific. You must find it endlessly fascinating.

I should think one would feel a close connection with the wood, and nature, when smoking that baby.
Whew! Time to take a cold shower and re-compose myself.
