So I was bored and browsing the 'Bay, as one does on occasion, and decided to search for BBB estates since I really like the little 673 Classic that I picked up at Barclay Pipes and Cigars in Columbus, Ohio last summer while visiting family.
I came across a few auctions for some decent looking examples for decent prices, so I decided to use the "Make an offer" option to see if I could maybe get shipping included. I did this on the three nicest examples that all had starting bids right around $20.
And I got all three of them! Totally wasn't expecting that!
Here are the pictures from the listings, 2 636's, one with a saddle bit, and one just called out as "Natural Grain"...
And here's my 673..
I've been doing some initial research to try to get an understanding on dating these based on the location of the roundel, etc.
Since none of them appear to need much work (hopefully), I plan on just doing regular cleaning, buffing and putting them into service. Feels like I've started a BBB collection
I'll post a follow-up when they actually arrive.
Pete
