Smoking immature tobacco flower buds??

One of the companies I bought my tobacco seeds from this year had a mention on their site of curing and smoking immature tobacco flower buds as an exceptionally mellow smoke.
I'd actually expect that part of the plant to have especially high nicotine levels. Does anyone here have any experience with this??

It's not something I would do.

I'm loth to think that a company would have ulterior motives; but it might be their way of influencing their customers to buy their seeds again next season... rather than collecting those produced by this years baccy plants.

I have enough plants that a couple of weeks ago I went ahead and clipped about a dozen tops with immature buds and have them drying, but I don't really know what to expect. I'm definitely going to be cautious when I first smoke them, because I think there's a pretty high chance that the nicotine levels are going to be through the ceiling compared to normal 'baccy leaf.

Interesting... I really need to do my homework on tobacco... I didn't even know they had flowers. I'm Interested in knowing what smoking those tobacco buds is like. My mom is a farmer. Im going to have to look into our tobacco growing laws here in Ohio. Im sure she would give me an acre to grow on.
