Hi all: my first post. i have read n several place about pipers referring to their tobacco cellar or smoking cellar. I am interested in venting my basement in some way so as to be able to smoke down there and not smoke out the upstairs. Has anyone installed vents/ exhaust vents in their cellars? What kind of "industrial" type vents do you use? Thanks - Rob

As Bob has mentioned, a smoke cellar, or tobacco cellar is just a place we store our tobacco, much like a wine cellar. Since Cyndi, my wife, smokes pipes as well, our home is pretty much open smoking ground. Although, we do have a dedicated smoking area as well, which is our sunroom. There is plenty of ventilation out there once the windows are opened a bit.

I smoke in my Man Space, back part of the patio. When we lived in Saudi Arabia, I had a office in our house with a air purifier/ozone filter, worked great. Could not smell

the smoke in the house or office. However, it was a large unit, and the cost of one now is quite high.
