It was bright and sunny on the beach. The surf was high due to gale winds blowing in the straight today. Tried to smoke a bowl of Margate but it didn't last long. Short but sweet.

The first pipe I ever owned, a Medico filter pipe, burned through the bottom because I was smoking in gale conditions. Never again. I'm glad I learned my lesson with a cheap pipe.

A little hat for the pipe. Fits all.

Hey Jiuni, you beat me to it! I was going to suggest a wind cap. Because down here on the river bank or even the front porch, the wind will enjoy your smoke more than you! :)

As an avid sailor I'm definitely going to invest in some windcaps. During this nasty winter in Chicago, I find myself daydreaming about the next sailing season...with a pipe in my teeth and my hand on the tiller.
Can't sail without wind and I want to have my pipe too!

Back when I started puffing I blew out a beautiful Edward's Dakota while working in my yard on a windy fall morning.Since that lesson learned the hard way I keep a universal wind cap handy either in the garage or in the truck.
