Not because I want to. Just been busy and don't get to sit down and just smoke in peace. Was having a bowl of Bullseye Flake the other day and had to put down without finishing. Haven't got back to it yet, and it's been two days. I might light a new bowl tomorrow. Maybe open a new tin. Keep turning to quick nic fix.

I too find that my pipe smoking ebbs and flows with the rhythms of life. I'm not a guy who has to have tobacco, such that I'll stick a pipe in my teeth even under un-ideal circumstances. It's a pleasure for when it makes sense.

Having said that, I'm motivated to schedule life in such a way that it usually makes sense. That's a good thing, because it contributes to my motivation to make room for worthwhile things like reading, spending time with my family on the porch, etc.

If you tie pipe smoking to worthwhile things like that, then it can help motivate aspects of a well ordered life.

Still, sometimes life just doesn't look like that. I may go days without a bowl, and that's ok. (Other days I may have three bowls.)

Since starting to work out of my basement, my opportunity to have a pipe has increased significantly.
