Folklore is an interesting blend. Tasty right off the light! While trying my first bowl of it in my paneled meer, which is a fairly good size bowl, I experienced the same thing I saw a youtube reviewer comment on: the flavor and taste in second half of the smoke just kind of 'dropped out,' went away... Interesting. For my second bowl, I put it into a small pipe, my WDC Royal Demuth. This worked great! Got a 30 minute smoke in a small bowl and flavor all the way down. Good blend in a small pipe. Kind of lacking in a larger one. I know a fair few folks here have been smoking this. Anyone else experienced this? What pipes/bowl sizes have you enjoyed this in?

Got a sample last year about the size of two craps dice put together. Had it in three different pipes, a Stefano Santambrogio Rhodesian (large bowl), a Foyard beechwood Rhodesian (small bowl), and my MM Country Gentleman (small/medium bowl). Didn't have the flavor "drop-out" that others seem to notice, and didn't detect any differences between the three smokes. Nice "kitchen sink" type blend, I dig it.

I smoked it in a few different briars and meerschaums. Each smoke tasted the same.

But all your pipes’ chambers would be a similar size no?
1.8" depth to 3.5" depth

.85" diameter to 1" diameter

conical and cylindrical

Unless otherwise ghosted, pipes don't change the flavor of tobacco for me any more than macaroni and cheese tastes different from a plate versus a bowl. The only difference I get between pipes is duration of the smoke. It's why I have so many blend specific ones so there's no flavor contamination from one blend to another.
