I've posted one or two pictures of this pipe in the past, but it's such a great blast I thought I'd share some more. Some of the photos are similar, but I was experimenting with lighting and shutter speed so I included them all.
First let me say that Simeon Turner is a carver from Denver, Colorado and has started attending pipe shows over the last year or so. His style reminds me of Bruce Weaver but perhaps a bit more rustic. Smokingpipes.com has recently started stocking his pipes, or you can go to his website at turnerpipes.com (I have no association with smokingpipes.com nor with Simeon Turner, other than being a fan and patron of both).

Grat photography and beautiful pipe! And is that a chess clock I see in the background?

Numbersix, not a chess clock. It's a 3 timezone clock that's a reminder of my days in the Navy. It's set to Romeo time (China, our target), Whiskey Time (Hawaii, our location) and Zulu time (international standard).
Dave, you'd have to check Simeon's web site or smokingpipes.com, but I think his pipes start around $300 which is a good price for a hand made pipe. And I will say that prices are usually better when dealing directly with the carver.

I love the pipe stand. :D

That is a great looking pipe, and one huge bowl.

How long is the echo delay on something like that? :nana:

I want that pipe. That is my kind of pipe, love the shape, the blast is awesome and it looks like it is a great smoker. What size is that one Bigvan? I have been looking at Simeon's work and have been very impressed. I think his prices are very competitive in the world of artisan pipes. You also take great pictures, do you use extra lighting when you take those?

The "extra lighting " consists of placing the pipe directly under a desk lamp but I like the effect.
It's probably a large group 4 or small group 5. I can get a good, solid hour out of it.

bigvan, thanks for the photo tip, I will have to try that. I thought the pipe was bigger but I am sure it is light as feather at that size. Have you noticed that the most prominent size coming from the artisan carvers seems to be a group 4? In my research it seems that finding a group 5 is much more difficult.
