I've become a big fan of this pipemaker. The fit and finish and smoking qualities of my L'Anatra's are probably the best of all my pipes (with the possible exception of my recent Dunhill ODB acquisition).
SmokingPipes.com says this about them:
"L'Anatra pipes are carved by Massimo Palazzi and Andrea Pascucci in one of the great centers of Italian pipemaking, Pesaro, in Northern Italy... The exceptional quality is more typical of pipes twice the price. Quite simply, L'Anatra pipes exhibit all of the superb characteristics of the finest Italian makers, but without the hefty price tag."
