I remember occasionally seeing some old man about my age now smoking an alligator grained pipe back when I was a kid, and today I got my very own Weber Shellbrooke.

So far I’ve sold three Lees and used the proceeds to buy a big chubby Pre 54 Marxman and this Shellbrooke.

My Shellbrooke is very well made, and does NOT have an Imported Briar stamp, and has the metal Weber stem logo.

Usually an American pipe made after 1940 had Imported Briar stamps, if it was genuine Mediterranean briar, and this looks Algerian.
