Short term tobacco storage questions

Short term usually 3 days worth or a particular blend in tri-fold leather pouches is my routine. Pocket Jars work well too but longer than a few days small mason jars is what I use.

Pipe smoking in the south seems like a struggle. I have never had to deal with tobacco getting moist from being open. Always the other way around which is beneficial cause I like it drier.

Last time I was in the south I only smoked my pipe twice and it was so hot I couldn’t stand holding my pipe. Went straight to the b&m and switched to cigars for the rest of my time down there.

Just ordered some flat, wide mouth mason jars. Seems the thriftiest way

That's what it was in.

The weather in Sydney, Oz can be very variable -
It was a very unpleasant 40c(105f) in the shade yesterday.
It’s a pleasant, slightly overcast 22c today.
Humidity swings widely too.

If you’re in a high humidity or very low humidity zone, jars may be the way to go for storage.

I have a pipe smoking mate in Malaysia whose pipes grow mould within weeks unless kept in a tub with humidity absorbing beads.
