I’ve become a big fan of the 2015 and stock is coming in a week, so was going to add a couple pounds for ageing. Is the SG a better smoke and is it coming back?
The SG Best Brown Flake is my switch hitter as a VA, got about 4 oz. left and no telling when it will return so getting a few tins to age, or smoke whichever comes first.
I’ve been sampling a few brands every order, and started my “stash” with the buy one to smoke and one to age process, thanks for that ideal guys. Sweet order coming up :)

Ageing aromatics… Worth the trouble, or just a stock issue?

Have not smoked the 2015, but have smoked many SG blends;

I will say the FVF, St. James, Best Brown, Bracken, Balkan, Navy

and 1792 all outstanding blends...even better with some age on

them...so stock up when you can, just make sure you give them

plenty of air time as they are "wet" outta the tin
As for aromatics, not worth aging and they seem to lose their

flavor over time so for these IMHO/buy and smoke'em

Forget the aromatics, they are not worth your time. Buy what you plan to smoke in the near future and consume within six months to a year. The casings are generally fairly delicate, and they dissipate before long...
Samuel Gawith St. James Flake is my number two Virginia Perique blend. Its availability is spotty at best, so if you find it at a B&M somewhere then I would buy the whole works. It appears online once every few months - buy accordingly. You may only be able to grab 100g (
