Select Leaf Tobacco Co. (Stafford, VA)

I had a chance to swing into Select Leaf Tobacco Co. in Stafford, VA today and found a surprising variety of pipes and tobaccos. They had about 20-25 commonly available tins at B&M prices such as Peterson, Savinelli, Dunhill etc...they also had a fair selection of Italian machine-mades and a few handmades from Armellini, a few danish free-hands from Nording, and a splash of Peterson's, again at about 10% over the net. Perhaps about 100 pipes in all, give or take a few. They also had a well stocked, but quite dry humidor, and an array of accessories. There was only one issue: You can't smoke in the store...FAIL

On pipes, I checked on an Armellini they had with P&C, which has it for 118.00. Select Leaf had it at the regular price of 147.00

Is the "No Smoking" related to a local/state ordinance? I work a B&M in my town, I'm not allowed to smoke in the shop because the owner doesn't want me to. She is merely in the business because here father needed someone to run it. Half the time, you'd think its a daycare with all the crap she has up there for her two small children. Makes me ill. The shop is poorly stocked and IMO, poorly ran. She has little or no knowledge of cigars/pipes or tobacco and doesn't care to know either. And unfortunately this shop is the best option we have in the town. SIGH!

Nothing like that, I guess the chiropractor next door complained about the smell, and they told them no more.

Jason, unfortunately you're right about that B&M. I wish we had a good one close by.
