Securing plastic part in Meer bowl shank.

I keeps unscrewing, so I applied some Threadlocker Blue to hold in place. Hope this was ok, I know it can handle the heat.

I’m not sure how toxic that stuff might be—if possible, I’d avoid its use. Generally, this is not necessary for Meerschaum pipes—you just need to remember to twist the stem clockwise to remove it. Going counterclockwise is most likely why it is unscrewing.

I use blue LocTite on a lot of things, but not pipes.
Jeff is spot on, clockwise twist to stem going on and coming off.

Thanks both, continued research and found clear epoxy I can inject into threaded holes.

PART TWO, job complete

You can see blue material on threads. Used JB WELD clear weld, injected into threads, coated threads on insert. Had QTip in insert to keep epoxy out.
