I can't find my guy listed anywhere here. I want to look at his profile to get an idsea of likes and dislikes. Nor can I find the original thread from Duncan or the follow-up thread started by lordnoble about listing your preferences.

Can anyone here offer some help? Thanks in advance.

Its a sticky in the buy sell trade part of forum that's the brown box at the top of the page. Do you Mods keep hearing the cry's for a better search function it really hurts the total experience for the users then again if Keven's making money and traffics good why should anyone care.

Again, We, the Mods, can't FIX anything around here. We can moved and edit, but we can't rewrite the forum code to make the search function work better. Sorry. All I can do is pass on the info to Kevin. I don't mean to sound snarky, so if it comes across that way, I'm sorry. I'm just explaining that we're more like Super-Users that help the members out here. If I could write the code to fix that search function and had the capability to do so, I would. But the fact is, I can't.

OK, I found my man. Thanks for the tip, baskerville. It Is frustrating that the member search function does not work in every instance.

Tomorrow I shop for my lucky giftee.

Just an FYI, here, about searching for a certain member's profile. If you click on 'Members' at the top of your screen, it'll take you to the members area. If you add:

/membername

to the end of the URL, it'll take you to their site profile. To see their forum profile, just click on their name under their avatar and it'll show you all of their recent posts.
Hope this helps!

A simple trick for you all to make the search function work. Add tags in the appropriate box when creating a new thread, or add they to already created threads you want to revisit that lack said descriptors.
