Never bother with screen savers myself. I have the computer set to go black after fifteen minutes.

I would like a screen saver of pictures of pipes, etc. Too bonkers in love with my wife to be distracted by pipe babes.

I'm with Winton. I would love a screen saver of different pipe, but not the babes. That wouldn't work for home or work.

I never bother with them. I think their original intent was to keep pixels moving on CRT monitors to keep them from buring the screen. Those days are long gone.

I say it's worth the effort, Kevin--for both the pipes (i've been trolling the pipe-of-the-week lists and members' collections) and the babes. If I may add a suggestion, perhaps some members with really nice pictures would allow usage of their images for a pipesmagazine.com members collection screensaver? I certainly would.

My preference would be for old Pipe tobacco tin art. I

have plenty to choose from.

I also like the tin art suggestion. There might be some copyright challanges with that approach.

The last screen saver I used was the DOS 4.0 pipe maze . papipeguy has it right , I threw away my CRT monitor away along time ago , in a land far away , in a time better forgotten .

never use a screen saver anymore...after you hear the stats on how much energy is wasted by leaving your PC on for long periods of time, I've gotten so I turn mine off regularly.

I agree with the tin art idea. Plus I could get away with that with my wife. She is a graphic designer who loves older logos.

I would rather see a desktop wallpaper. I use those more than looking at screen saver. Plus usually when when my screen saver comes on I'm not around the computer, and I don't want to get distracted by watching it for a hour.

Oh yeah,.....cool wallpaper! With pipe-babes!
My whole man-cave wallpapered with pipe-babes!! And a "Keep Out"" sign on the door!
I almost forgot what a screen saver was. But seriously, a few desk-top photos or magazine covers would be cool!

Nice ideas on using pipes, members pipes and old tin art.
I personally don't have any antique-ish tins, so would need some help.
I like the ideas guys, but they will take a lot more time and effort than just grabbing the photos I already own. I'm not saying "no". I'm just saying it isn't going to happen in the next month or two, but maybe later this year.

I'd like to use one of pipes, the babes don't really interest me (do the words confirmed bachelor mean anything to you)-- but then I turn off my monitors when I leave my desk. . .. Schande.
